Oral Surgery

In order to provide the highest quality patient care in a setting that is convenient for you, we partner with a board-certified Oral Surgeon for cases that require a specialist. Each month we offer specific appointments, including sedation services, with our Oral Surgeon specialist.

Whether you need to replace missing teeth or improve the health of your jaw bone, our oral surgery services can help.

The Chalet Dental team in Yakima, WA are trained in a number of restorative services that will get your smile healthy again.

Sometimes our teeth need a little extra help that a standard cleaning can’t provide. That’s where restorative dentistry and oral surgery come in. Our office places dental implants, fits patients for dentures, and so much more.

Dental Implants

If you’re missing one tooth, or even a few teeth, dental implants are the preferred replacement option. Dentists and patients alike favor dental implants over other options due to their strength and natural look and feel.

A dental implant not only replaces a missing tooth but also prevents future problems with the jaw bone and even facial sagging. An implant consists of a titanium post surgically placed into the jaw bone, an abutment, and a restoration, like a crown or a bridge. Dental implants look and feel like natural teeth, are just as strong, and last for many years when properly cared for.

Implant-Supported Dentures

For patients missing most or all their teeth, dentures are a great way to restore their smile. Implant-supported dentures are more secure than traditional dentures, giving patients the confidence to smile again.

Also known as All-On-4 or All-On-6 dentures, implant-supported dentures are exactly what they sound like – dentures that sit on four or six dental implants, rather than requiring messy adhesives for wear. Our team can place the dental implants in our office and fit you for your dentures. Implant-supported dentures are easy to use and care for, so call us today to find out if you’re a candidate.

Tooth Extraction

Sometimes, a tooth extraction is the best option for your oral health. Our team can perform the extraction and provide you with replacement options.

Whether it’s due to a severe infection, injury, or something else, a tooth extraction can sometimes be the best way to save your smile. We only perform a dental extraction when absolutely necessary, and we provide local anesthetic to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure.

Bone Grafting

If you’ve had advanced gum disease, or you are missing teeth, a dental bone graft can help your jaw bone heal and provide much-needed strength for you to talk, chew, and smile like normal.

A bone graft procedure is a relatively minor dental surgery. Our team will make a small incision in your gums and surgically attach the bone graft material – often bone from your own body, although donor material and even artificial bone can be used. As the site heals, your jaw bone will create new bone around the graft, giving us a strong base for a restoration like a dental implant if it’s needed.

Sedation

If you’re coming into our office for oral surgery, we do everything we can to ensure you are comfortable the whole time.

Dental sedation is an important part of our practice because your comfort is a priority for us. Whether you’re undergoing a minor procedure or a major one, we want you to know that you’re in good hands. We can use local anesthesia, laughing gas, or even general sedation to make sure your discomfort is limited throughout the procedure.

Our team at Chalet Dental is trained in oral surgery services, and we are here to help you get your healthy, beautiful smile back. Call our office today to schedule an appointment.
